We are located in Russell Springs, KY in the heart
of Lake Cumberland. One of the largest man-made lakes in the world,
containing over 1200 miles of shoreline. Millions visit the Lake
Cumberland area every year to enjoy boating, water recreation, fishing and
hunting. We are also home to Wolf Creek Dam, the
National Fish Hatchery, Lake Cumberland State Park, and the "Rock
House", which is a large natural bridge arch of solid limestone said to be
over 300 million years old. We also just minutes away from the Green River
Reservoir area.
Russell County also plays a very active role in
the famous 127 corridor yard sale which is a 450 mile long yard sale that starts
in Alabama and goes north through Tennessee & Kentucky.
Russell County is easily accessed by the
Cumberland Parkway as well as two major U.S. Highways. In addition, and
most importantly, we're home to many good people who have been here most of
their lives and that is the hard working country folks of Russell County,
Kentucky. |
